Rapping Your Way To The Top
Think about your dream job; something you’ve always wanted to do or be.
Is it acting? Singing? Writing for a TV series? Playing in the NFL?
How would you go about getting that job? Is there a place you can apply for “being a sidekick for Conan O’Brien?” Because if that application is floating around somewhere on Craig’s list, please someone let me know.
Half the battle of pursuing your dream job is knowing how to get your foot in the door. It’s especially difficult if that job is highly coveted.
One man decided nothing was going to get in the way of him and his dream of working for Sprite. But how does one go about applying for this job?

NFL players get a lot of crap, both for their performance and their behavior. Instead of focusing on all the good things they do on and off the field, we assume most are pompous, greedy, and thuggish.
To be fair, when you have football players like Ray Lewis, Ray Rice, Aaron Hernandez, Ben Roethlisberger, DeSean Jackson and Philip Rivers as the faces of the NFL, it’s easy to see why people have issues with the organization. (And those are just a few people guilty of actions ranging from excessive peacocking to straight up murder.)
But there are a lot of players that do amazing things, using their influence and money to help others. They do a plethora of good deeds from volunteering to donating money to visiting fatally sick kids in hospitals. Unfortunately, the news rarely covers these acts of kindness.
However, journalists nationwide took notice recently when Denver Broncos’ linebacker, Von Miller, took a drastic pay cut. He did this in order to free up funding to recruit better players for the upcoming football season.
While this doesn’t necessarily make him a saint, it isn’t often you hear of NFL players offering salary cuts to help ensure the integrity and performance of their team.
