A Guide To Living On Mars
People are super enthralled with outer space. Whether it’s because franchises like Star Wars and Star Trek romanticized its existence or we’re just naturally curious about things unknown to us, there is something incredibly alluring about anything outside planet Earth.
As technology continues to evolve, talk of inhabiting other planets has become more and more fathomable. Hell, when Trump mentioned extending the military branch to include a Space Force, people LOST… THEIR… S**T. It was like their childhood fantasies were finally coming to fruition.
But I feel like actually living on another planet is kind of analogous to trying Hot Yoga; it seems like a cool, fun thing to do until you’re actually there. Then, it’s just really hot, sticky and claustrophobic.
But hey, if you are gung-ho on setting up real-estate on Mars, I’m not going to stop you. However, you have to be super prepared, so here is a 4-step guide to making your dreams a reality.
We are slowly becoming more and more isolated from society as it becomes easier to accomplish things without interacting with other people.
Nowadays, you can buy just about any product on Amazon or eBay and have it delivered right to your doorstep. You can use Shipt to get groceries, allowing you the luxury of avoiding the grocery store, altogether. Not to mention, most jobs are now tech-based, so as long as you have a computer, you can work from anywhere (aka your bed).
Technically speaking, you could probably spend the rest of your life living within the confines of your house, never having to stand in line or interact with a human being ever again.
Decades ago, humans thrived off the company of one another. Neighbors actually knew each other’s names. The local butcher would know your favorite cut of meat. The barber would ask how little Susie’s middle school play went. People actually made efforts to get to know one another.
In this hilarious clip, comedian Sebastian Maniscalco compares what it was like having house visitors back in the day to what it’s like now. And it’s every bit as funny as it is true.
These people thought they were smart… but they were very wrong.
