Basic Is As Basic Does

The term “basic b**ch” has been around pretty much right around the time women decided Ugg boots were acceptable “going out” gear.

To be fair, pretty much every woman has a little “basic” in her – even if it just means she likes to drink out of over-sized mugs or listen to Ed Sheeran.

Hey! You over there! Yeah you, judgy mcjudgerson! There is nothing wrong with putting some pumpkin sprinkles in your hot cocoa every once in awhile or wearing scarves in 75-degree weather! (Ok, maybe that’s a little extreme, but no more so than v-neck shirts or man buns on guys.)

But while every girl is capable of being “that basic b**ch taking pics of her food with her selfie stick,” it WOULD seem that white women are particularly guilty of these eye-rolling habits.

Watch this satirical video in which one girl is officially diagnosed as “basic.” And it’s devastating!

Hands Solo

There are a lot of reasons people are single. From just needing a breather after a serious relationship to having a phobia of metaphorically conjoining naughty bits in a romantic, committal fashion.

Then there are those who simply choose to be single and some who let the universe choose for them.

I had a buddy in college who was perpetually single, even though he managed to bring home some fairly attractive tail on the regular. Whenever we would inquire what happened when said girl would stop showing around, he would mumble something about how he always manages to pick “the crazy ones.”

Like my college roommate, like it or not, we usually can’t help who we are attracted to and often that comes at an expensive… generally in the form of you being “forever alone.”

In this segment, Jimmy Fallon encourages people to send in tweets as to why they are perpetually single, and the answers don’t disappoint.
