Land of Recourse

America: land of the free, home of the brave… am I right?

Many great things have transpired right here on American soil including the invention of the lightbulb, baseball, and Kentucky bourbon.

Unfortunately, we have also been the birth-child of some pretty horrible things including The Kardashians and Marshmallow Peeps. We also are a country that loves to make other people pay for our misfortune (a.k.a. suing).

Not one to be outdone, The New Orlean’s Saints have decided they want to be in on this beloved American tradition of suing by petitioning a civil lawsuit over the horrible miscall that potentially lost the Saints their chance to play in this year’s Super Bowl.

And no, this is not fake news. Read about it here.

When Pinterest and Science Collide

In one of the funnier scenes in the movie “Mean Girls,” Regina George’s mom declares, “I’m not a regular mom, I’m a cool mom.”

In the movie, this self-proclamation was seemingly based on the fact that she wore Juicy pants and let her kids drink alcohol. In the real world, cool moms usually are measured by how strong their Pinterest game is.

As a mom myself, I admit I’m definitely not a “cool” mom. I’m much too lazy to make a table centerpiece out of pinecones or a nursery lamp out of empty toilet paper rolls and glitter. However, I can appreciate moms that have the time and patience to be so creative.

If you happen to be one of those Pinterest moms (or you just really like cool science experiments), here are 7 cool things you can try on a random Saturday afternoon.
