Millennials Are Ruining Things Again

Millennials get a lot of crap for a lot of things. We’re responsible for anything bad, negative, or undesirable. And when we aren’t being held accountable for the works being in the dump, we’re told we simply aren’t fun or adventurous enough.

According to this article in Vice, inspired by an opinion piece printed in the New York Post that claimed millennials don’t deserve NYC, our generation has killed fun. Why? Well, the Vice article

speculates on a few reasons why younger generations aren’t going out and spending money like our predecessors. Money was a huge obstacle they listed, followed by an obsession with technology and being too overworked to want to spend off-time shopping or going clubbing.

You would think our desire to be financially frugal and responsible would be one of the few talking points we WOULDN’T get attacked for, but nope! Apparently these habits are just as bad.

Here’s the Vice article, but read at your own risk. You’ll probably end up never drinking a Heineken or leaving the couch ever again – more out of spite than anything else.

The Metal Mantra

We all have our ways of unwinding; ways of handling stress or bad days that don’t necessarily make sense to other people.

For example. many people find yoga to be incredibly cathartic. I think of yoga as an hour long commitment to bending my body in unnatural ways while listening to elevator music – neither of which calm me down. Give me a bottle of wine and a straw, anyway.

However, people swear by the physical and mental health benefits of yoga, so clearly I’m doing something wrong. Maybe if they played more upbeat tunes, it would be easier to get into all that twisting.

Well, apparently, Im not the only one who isn’t an Enya mega-fan. What started off as a total prank, quickly morphed into an actual thing that thousands of people wanted to attend – a death metal yoga class. And while I’m not sure death metal is the music I had in mind, I must say, these people DO look pretty peaceful and zen-like.

India Wants To Use Flesh Eating Turtles To Rid The Ganges Of Decomposing Bodies

India’s Ganges river is the main source of water for half a billion people. It’s also holy to the country’s almost 1 billion Hindus, who bathe in the river to be cleansed of their sins and believe that if a body is cremated and released into the water at Varanasi it can escape the cycle of reincarnation.
