Social Media Woes

The Nightcap

“Be stupid, be dumb, be funny, if that’s who you are. Don’t try to be someone that society wants you to be; that’s stupid. So be yourself.” – Christina Grimmie

Facebook and the workplace don’t mix

Companies lose a great deal of money each year from employees who waste valuable time on social media. It’s enough to make you wonder if people are so addicted to social media that they will risk losing their jobs.

Many posts on social media are items that will surely be there once a person gets off work, so why then does a person spend most of their work hours staring at cute doggie pictures? Statistically, over 80% of employees state that they feel unsatisfied with the workplace.

They also state that they are unhappy with their jobs and wish to find a better opportunity. If this is the case, why would they put their time into social media? Wouldn’t it make more sense that they would steal that company time to research new job opportunities? We would think so.

Apparently, it’s easier to simply laugh at Facebook posts than it is to do the work you are paid for. Imagine how those same employees who spend company time on Facebook would feel if they owned their own company and found their employees doing the same. Maybe then they would finally learn the truth behind waisted time which leads to a wasted future.

Check out this video and see if you can relate to this hilarious spoof on Facebook addicted employees.

The new Snapchat filter is causing breakups

In an effort to remain relevant, Snapchat created a new filter that is causing people to lose their minds…and their mates.

The new filter by Snapchat has the ability to turn a guy’s face into a woman and a woman’s face into a man. All you have to do is look into the phone and the filter will do the rest.

Maybe this filter is intended to celebrate those men and women who want to look like the opposite sex. If this is so, then they are probably the only people happy about the new change that Snapchat only recently introduced.

We were lucky enough to find a video that did a perfect job of providing an example of how a couple might break up over this new feature.

This video shows a guy getting caught up in the pain of Snapchat when he finds himself failing to explain to his girlfriend who called that the woman on the other end of the phone was really him.
