Animals do the dandiest things

We all love cute little doggies, don’t we? We also love water, especially on a hot day. Well, we are going to show you what happens when you put the two together.

This video is a compilation of the cutest dog fails that involve their attempt to maintain themselves while in the water. They swim, or at least they try, and they fall into ponds when they are merely attempting to jump over them. No one seems to have the answer on why we love dogs so much, and why their failed attempts at anything touches our hearts the way that it does. Maybe it’s because dogs are incredibly innocent in their efforts to achieve a simple goal. If a dog wants to jump from a boat onto land, they hesitate and then they go for it. We love their courage, but then we can’t help but laugh when they fail despite the courage.

Is it that dogs remind us of something within ourselves? Maybe we see our own innocence that faded so long ago reborn in dogs that only want love from their owners. Or maybe it’s that we love how dogs love us, even when we struggle to love ourselves. Either way, we can’t help but see a bit of ourselves in animals, which is why this video is so great.

Dogs don’t try to be funny, which is why we laugh so hard when they do something that tickles us. If you are feeling down and need a bit of a lift, then this video is for you. Take a look at just how cute a dog can be when he tries–and fails–to handle himself in the water.

The wars that inspired Game of Thrones

Beginning around 1377, medieval England was shaken by a power struggle between two noble families, which spanned generations and involved a massive cast of characters, complex motives and shifting loyalties. Sound familiar?

Alex Gendler illustrates how the historical conflict known as the Wars of the Roses served as the basis for much of the drama in Game of Thrones.
