Won The Lottery Prank Gone Wrong

We all have dreams of getting rich quick! From rags to riches, we all hope to find ourselves submerged in millions of dollars…all of which would easily change our lives literally overnight.

Some of us wish for this more than others, as this video will show. Unfortunately, it’s always those who want to win the lottery the most who end up hurt the greatest when they find that they did not win…again.

One man decided that it would be funny to prank his girlfriend and convince her that she actually won Mega Millions. He bought a ticket that had the winning numbers a day after the winning numbers were drawn and then placed the ticket in his girlfriend’s purse.

When she went to check on her ticket to see if she won, guess what? She thought she did! She freaked out and went on about how she could finally get the boob job she’s always wanted. When she found out later that it was all a prank, she was devastated.

It would be hard for someone to overcome a let down such as this. In one instant you believe that your world is about to change for the better, and you think of all the things you can finally do in your life. Then, in the next minute, you find that it was all just another version of your dream. It wasn’t real.

The let down has to be so enormous because the person is forced to see that their dream is that much further away. It’s a terrible trick to play on anyone who truly wishes to win because it begins to affect their mentals and their spirit. To be honest, the spirit should not be associated with money, but in some cases, people just can’t seem to separate the two.

Check out this video and see just how hard it is to laugh without crying on her behalf.

Everything Happens For A Reason

At 35 years old, Kate Bowler was living the life she always wanted for herself. She had married her high school sweetheart, become a mom for the first time, and had landed a dream job in academia.

She worked hard, and she felt like those efforts were paying off for her just as they should. After all, good things happen to good people, right?

But that same year, Kate received an unexpected diagnosis of stage 4 cancer. In that moment, her life–and her system of beliefs–was turned upside down. Today, over 3 years later, Kate is working to understand how people can live full lives in the face of pain, suffering, and uncertainty, and she’s sharing her findings with the world.

Check out Kate’s emotional 2018 TEDMED Talk to learn what happens when we finally give up control and accept that there may not always be a hidden logic to the chaos of life.
