“Living in dreams of yesterday, we find ourselves still dreaming of impossible future conquests.” – Charles Lindbergh
Wednesday marked the 18th anniversary of 9/11 and, while I think soundbites are cheesy af, It really is true that most of us will “Never Forget.”
Whether you were 5, 15, or 55, you more than likely remember most details of that horrendous morning. You may also remember that there really hasn’t been a time since then that we’ve come together as a nation so passionately and lovingly as we did in the wake of those falling buildings.
As a tribute to the 18th anniversary, here is a Budweiser Clydesdale commercial that only aired once – just for this occasion.
Pro Tip: Try not to ugly cry if you’re watching this in your office or on the subway.
Nobody likes being around a complainer, a Debbie Downer, someone that just bitches about anything and everything.
For starters, 87.3% of the time, there is little to no reason for that person to complain so much. Listen, Linda, we get it. Monday’s suck, our boss is a chode, and we’ve all been dumped. That doesn’t give you free rein to crap all over everyone else’s day.
That being said, we all DO have bad days and SHOULD be able to vent when we really need to. That’s what best friends are for.
Aside from being your wingman, helping you shop, sending memes, and enjoying activities with – your friends should be people you can confide in when you are having a difficult time. Even if that difficult time is complaining about minute things when compared to the greater scheme.
In fact, according to this article, it’s actually good for your mental and emotional health to have someone to bitch to.
(Just make sure that street goes both ways).
